Noah And The Whale | Blue Skies

London's Noah And The Whale have written quite possibly one of the saddest songs I've ever heard. Check out the remix by Death To The Throne too.

Death To The Throne also remixed The XX's Shelter. Not for everybody and no where near as good as the remix that Them Jeans did but here it is.

Atlas Sound | Quick Canal

New song from the latest release of Bradford Cox's (Deerhunter) solo project Atlas Sound with Laetita Sadler from Stereolab on vocals. Beautiful.

Kano | Ikeya Seki

Check out the latest DJ Kicks compilation mixed by Chromeo. It definitely showcases their influence of French-Canadian house and retro electro. The intro featured below is a throwback to the early 80's that was also sampled by Kavinsky in his 2007 EP titled 1986. See if you can pick it up.

Pumpkin Brew

Tis the season for autumn ales. There's dozens of them out there and I haven't tried them all. But I have to say my favorite one so far is Blue Moon's Harvest Moon Pumpkin Ale. What makes this one stand out is its balance. Other seasonal beers I tried tasted overly malted, spiced, or unnaturally flavored. This amber ale is very well rounded, combining all of the elements you would like in a fall brew without over-doing it. Try it before its gone until next year.

Also for this fall comes my latest vodka-infusion experiment. Pumpkin infused vodka with vanilla beans and cinnamon sticks, shaken with cream, and served in a martini glass rimmed with graham cracker crumbs and a dash of nutmeg on top. Come by the best restaurant in Downtown Orlando, Citrus Restaurant, and order one from me.
